Goodbye Amherst

So that was college. I guess, despite the fact that throughout senior year you're telling yourself that this will all be over in a matter of months, you never really expect it to end. Even while I was wandering around campus waiting to drive away from Amherst it didn't feel like I was actually leaving. There's no reason I shouldn't be ready to leave, I won't miss the inevitable all-nighters of Sunday nights this past fall or scrambling to do well in my other classes while trying to finish my thesis; I have a job and an apartment lined up, there're no huge uncertainties for the next two years.

But I guess it doesn't matter because I still really miss it.

(if you're interested, some pictures from commencement and other spring semester stuff are here.)

The beginning of the end

Friday was my last day of classes and our senior assembly. It felt a little (i.e., WAY) too early to be donning caps and gowns. It's starting to freak me out now, the whole ending of college and entering real life. I have an orgo final on monday and then that's it. That's really the end of college for me. Oh dear.

That being said I actually had a really good time at both the assembly and dinner, despite dancing until my legs and feet really hurt (can I re-emphasize how glad I am that I've gone into a line of work that involves me not wearing heels and nice clothes?) I put a few pictures up here.

Well there'll probably be more sentimental postings to come as time winds down. For now, I should probably think about passing my exam on Mon.

Un-Homeless

Hey looks like I have somehwere to live after I graduate!

We locked up this apartment today. It's in a pretty spiffy neighborhood near inman square about 12 min walk from Harvard. I'm really excited about it. I hope we don't move in and then the whole place crumbles apart. Oh boy. All this post-graduation stuff is a little unreal.

So if you need to find me next year (and by next year I mean after June 15th or so), I have an address to give you!
